From a sustainability perspective, one of the most important elements of any program is the ability to measure outcomes and identify best practices.  The UEP initiative is no exception.  The UEP Founders want to ensure that all UEP Centers have a tracking system that allows for the capturing of baseline data on entrepreneurs and their subsequent movement throughout the entrepreneurial assistance process.

In addition to measuring outcomes it is important to set realistic goals and timetables for the UEP Centers.  This process includes mapping of the minority entrepreneurial community and creating realistic goals for each of the Centers.  What is important to keep in mind is that each community’s goals will look different depending on the entrepreneurial landscape of that particular community.
